EX-Eluveitie vende Gaita Gallega con modificaciones paganas

Pues eso que ha salido a la venta la gaita del hasta hace poco miembro de la banda Sevan Kirder.

Se trata de una gaita gallega en color negro realizada por David López García y que modifico "decoro" el propio Sevan Kirder (Ex-ELUVEITIE). La gaita ha sido usada tanto en la grabación de los discos de la banda como en los videoclips y giras. El precio de salida esta en 1500 €.

Battlelore "The Last Alliance" samples

Battlelore es una banda finlandesa de Power metal, metal gótico y Epic Metal formada en el año 1999. Sus letras suelen hacer referencia a la obra literaria de J.R.R. Tolkien.

Blessed By A Broken Heart es un banda de metal cristiano de Montreal, Canadá, se formó en 2003. Actualmente en Century Media.

Su primer trabajo fue "All’s Fair in Love and War" en 2004. En 2006, hicieron una gira por el Reino Unido con ENTER SHIKARI. "Pedal To The Metal" su segundo álbum fue grabado en 2007 por el productor Gggarth. En 2007 estuvieron de gira por los Estados Unidos con Kittie, It Dies Today y Bring Me The Horizon. Luego vinieron a Europa con Bring Me The Horizon a mediados de enero de 2008 y al Reino Unido en febrero con Azriel.
El disco sera lanzado el 18 de Agosto en Europa y en estados unidos el 2 de Septiembre.

Gypsy Rose - Another World - 2008

Suecia, Melodic Heavy Metal/hard Rock. Este grupo procedente de Gothenburg (Suecia), tiene su origen en el año 1981 inspirados por bandas como Thin Lizzy, Rainbow, Deep Purple o Led Zeppelin. Tres años más tarde fichan por un sello belga para editar su primer álbum, el cual nunca vio la luz por dificultades de la compañía. Varios años más tarde, el productor Taavi Mote quiso editar esta primera grabación, pero nuevamente no pudo ser.

Tras varios proyectos en solitario, deciden reunirse en 2004 para grabar, ahora si, su álbum debut, el cual vio la luz un año después bajo el mismo nombre de la banda, "Gypsy Rose".

Y aquí tenemos su segundo trabajo, pero con una gran novedad, ya que se estrena como vocalista David Reece (Accept, Bangalore Choir), haciendo un gran trabajo vocal durante todo el álbum.

En "Another World" nos encontraremos con un disco estilo años 80, en definitiva, un buen disco que gustará a los amantes del heavy metal más clásico.

"The Crucible of Man" cuenta con el regreso de Matt Barlow como vocalista, el cual además era la voz que originalmente Schaffer introdujo para presentar la saga "Something Wicked" en 1998, tres canciones que concluyeron en su álbum, "Something Wicked This Way Comes".

Como es sabido "Framing Armageddon - (Something Wicked Parte I)" y "The Crucible of Man – (Something Wicked Part II)" desarrollan la historia esbozada por Schaffer en el trabajo de 1998.

El lanzamiento de este larga duración es precedido por el single "I Walk Among You" (13 de junio Alemania, 16 de junio resto de Europa, 17 de junio EE.UU. y Canadá. Steamhammer / SPV).


Las fechas de lanzamiento del larga duración han sido también confirmadas:

Twisted Sister "Live At The Astoria" nuevo DVD

Twisted Sister editara en DVD el concierto del 1 de Agosto 2004 en el Astoria de Londres. Grand Magus - Iron Will - 2008

Este power trío lo forma el vocalista de Spiritual Beggars, el carismático JB, que también se encarga de la guitarra, Fox, bajista de Bajen Death Cult, y el batería Seb, batería del grupo Plankton, y de unos comienzos dentro de un doom casi de libro han ido pasándose al heavy metal más ortodoxo y aquí en esta nueva entrega incluso flirtean con el hard rock.

Alguno se preguntará, ¿pero si hay miles de bandas con esos mismos planteamientos?. Claro que sí, lo que sucede es que Gran Magus tienen un plus que reside en la extraordinaria voz de JB, pletórico en todo el compacto, que parece un cruce de la del antiguo cantante de Candlemass, Messiah Marcolin, con la de alguno de los mejores cantantes de hard rock del circuito internacional como Joe Lynn Turner.

Lo más doom de este disco, no es el doom monolítico y ralentizado que todos conocemos, son ‘Self-Deceiver’ y ‘Beyond good and evil’, que entronca directamente con su pasado más lejano, pero también nos encontramos con excelentes temas de tono épico, el mismo que muestran en esa maravillosa obra de arte que cubre la portada, como el corte que le da título (Imeem), y trallazos potentísimos como ‘Silver into steel’ o ‘Shadows knows’. Y todo ello con una formación básica de trío. Para mí una de las sorpresas del año en el apartado metálico.

Eluveitie nueva formación

En junio Eluveitie anunciaba en su web que tanto Sevan (flauta, gaitas, etc) como Rafi (bajo) habían decidido dejar Eluveitie. Ambos tomaron esta decisión, por motivos personales. Tanto Sevan como Rafi llevaban mucho tiempo en la formación, en el caso de Sevan desde el principio. Esto fue un golpe para la banda, aunque entienden y aceptan su decisión. "No vamos a olvidar los años que hemos pasado juntos y le deseamos a Sevan y Rafi todo lo mejor en su futuro musical, así como en lo personal. Gracias tanto por vuestra dedicación como por el tiempo que pasamos juntos los últimos cuatro años"

Pues ahora nos comunican que ya tienen sustitutos.

Päde Kistler
Toca diversos tipos de gaitas, así como flautas y guitarras acústicas, Päde es un multi-instrumentista y, sobre todo, un experimentado gaitero. Para algunos, (los especialmente interesados en folk) Päde podría no ser desconocido, ya que ha dado prueba de sus habilidades como músico e interprete en la banda folk suiza "Branâ Keternâ", donde tocan también Meri (Violin) y Chrigel (vocalista). Y que además es un muy buen tio.

Kay Brem
Lleva largo tiempo en la escena metálica de Suiza, y es un muy cualificado bajista. Kay anteriormente tocaba en "Cataract and Tribes Of Caïn" actuando en innumerables escenarios de toda Europa. Como a Päde, lo conocen también desde hace bastante tiempo.

Päde Kistler
Playing diverse kinds of bagpipes, as well as whistles and acoustic guitars, Päde is a multi-instrumentalist and especially an experienced piper!
To some of you (especially the folk interested guys) Päde might not be unfamiliar: He used to proof his abilities as musician and also as disarming performer in the Swiss folk band Branâ Keternâ, where also Meri and Chrigel used to play!

Kay Brem
Being a long-time rock’n’roll bastard of the Swiss metal scene, Kay makes a very skilled bass player that will for sure kick your asses as hell. Kay formerly played with the Swiss metal machines Cataract and Tribes Of Caïn and honoured or rather ravaged countless stages all over Europe. As Päde, we also got to know and esteem Kay as a great musician and person quite a while ago.

Versailles - Noble (Vampire's Chronicles) - 2008

Buscando por ahí cosas curiosas me encontré con un grupo japones que hace una especie de Metal Simfonico, y un poco mezcla de todo "Versailles - Noble (Vampire's Chronicles) - 2008", que seguro que en Japón son muy conocidos ;). Ademas de eso se caracterizan por ser un grupo de estilo "Visual kei" que igual el Dreamer se lo sabe todo sobre esto, pero yo es la primera vez que lo veo.

Visual kei es un término con el cual a mediados de los años 1990 se comenzó a llamar a las bandas musicales en Japón que formaban parte de la llamada "livehouse scene". Si bien es un término musical, la palabra visual kei no define un estilo musical determinado, sino que alude a la particular apariencia de sus integrantes. La palabra kei traducida del japonés significa estilo, pudiendo fácilmente deducir que se refiere a un estilo visual.

Orígenes musicales: Glam rock, Heavy Metal, Punk rock y Rock alternativo entre otros.
Orígenes culturales: Influenciado por las cuidadas apariencias de bandas occidentales como Kiss.
Instrumentos comunes: guitarra, bajo, batería y teclado.

Popularidad: Comenzó como una corriente muy apartada en Japón, pero desde mediados de los años 1990 ha gozado de gran popularidad incluso en otros países.
